In Karjat Nagar Panchayat, MLA Rohit Pawar's supporters have filed a no-confidence motion against the mayor. Out of 17 corporators in the Nagar Panchayat, 13 have filed a no-confidence motion. In Karjat Nagar Panchayat, there are 12 corporators from the NCP Sharad Pawar group, 2 from BJP and 3 from Congress.
In Karjat Nagar Panchayat, Rohit Pawar's supporter Usha Raut is the mayor. She is being accused of doing her job without considering the corporators. A no-confidence motion has been brought for not resigning when it was decided to change the mayor after two and a half years. She is also accused of being reluctant when asked to provide civic facilities.
Karjat Nagar Panchayat is currently ruled by the NCP Sharad Chandra Pawar party and the mayor is Usha Akshay Raut. But for the last three years, they have been working arbitrarily without considering anyone. Work is being done without following the government rules and many facilities required by the people, including health, education, sewage, have not been completed, which has also created discontent among the citizens with the corporators.
