This money was deposited through an ATM, and its source has been revealed to be from an unknown person. Mumbai Crime Branch officials said, "We are investigating the money transactions. We are exploring all possibilities to reach the mastermind who provided money to the accused. The possibility of an underworld network or other international criminal organizations being behind this attack cannot be ruled out.
Rohit Shetty's security has been increased in the wake of this incident. The police have linked up with the Agra module of the accused and are contacting Nepali authorities to gather more information in this regard. Investigations are underway to identify some more accused in this case.
