On the evening of September 20, the protesting students submitted a list of 18 demands to Director Prof. Shireesh Kedare; these demands included the suspension of Prof. Dulla. Dean Dulla was officially suspended after Director Kedare signed and approved all the demands.
Meanwhile, IIT Bombay has issued a fresh apology regarding the matter. The institute stated, "We apologize for the remarks made in our earlier statement concerning the situation that arose following Sahil's unfortunate demise." The institute also clarified that an investigation into the sequence of events and circumstances surrounding the incident is still underway by the appropriate authorities. The statement further noted that it would be inappropriate to disclose specific details until the official findings of the investigation are available.
