Shopkeepers do not need to disclose their names!

-Suko's interim order, said - mention only vegetarian or non-vegetarian
New Delhi. A petition challenging the order to write the name of the shopkeeper on the fruits and flowers and hotels-restaurants on the Kanwar Yatra route in Uttar Pradesh was heard in the Supreme Court. During the hearing of the case, the Supreme Court has issued an interim order. Under the order, shopkeepers on the Kanwar Yatra route will not need to disclose their identity.
The Supreme Court said that shopkeepers will only have to disclose the type of food. They will have to tell whether vegetarian or non-vegetarian dishes are being served in the restaurant. In this case, the Supreme Court has set the next date of hearing on July 26.
The Supreme Court's order has given a big blow to the Yogi Adityanath government. Also, such orders issued in Uttarakhand have also been banned.
The UP government's order has been challenged in the Supreme Court by the NGO Association for Protection of Civil Rights. A bench of Supreme Court Justices Rishikesh Rai and SVN Bhatti is hearing the case.
Supreme Court asked
Supreme Court asked whether any order has been issued by the UP government or there is any statement. CU Singh said that the administration in the state is pressurizing shopkeepers to display their names and mobile numbers. No law gives the police the right to do so. The police only have the right to check what kind of food is being served. The name of the employee or owner cannot be made mandatory.
The Supreme Court said in this case that it is voluntary and not mandatory. The petitioner said that Haridwar Police has implemented it. There, a warning has been issued by the police that if this is not done then action will be taken. Such action has also been talked about in Madhya Pradesh. The petitioner said that this is like economic death for the traders.
Notice to three governments, asked for reply
The Supreme Court in its interim order has stayed the orders related to name plates issued in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh. The Supreme Court has issued notice to the governments of the three states and asked them to submit their reply. They have been asked to submit their reply in this name plate dispute case by Friday. The next hearing in the name plate dispute will be on July 26. It is believed that the Supreme Court may give its final decision after hearing the name plate dispute.
