Action Plan for Implementation of Heritage Tree The decision to protect and nurture trees of 50 years of age and above in urban areas of the state was taken at a Cabinet meeting held here today.
For this, the Maharashtra (Urban Areas) Tree Protection and Conservation Act will be amended. The concept of "Heritage Tree" and the necessary action plan for their protection will be implemented.

 Five thousand children in the district
Admission under RTE -
- The process starts tomorrow
Nagpur, June 10: As per the Right to Education Act (RTE), 5611 children in the district have been selected from 680 schools. The admission process will start from tomorrow till June 30. Children selected by lottery should go to school from June 11 to 30 to secure admission.
Although the 25 per cent admission process starts from tomorrow as per the RTE Act, parents should avoid rushing to the school for admission to avoid corona infection. Also, do not take children with you when you go for admission. The date of admission from the school will be informed via SMS to the mobile number mentioned in the application. But parents should not rely on SMS to see the date of admission by clicking on the Application Wise Details tab on the RTE portal.
Parents should go to the school after receiving the SMS notification for admission. A copy of the original documents required for admission and their Xerox copies as well as the guarantee letter on the portal and the status of the application, application wise details and a copy of the allotment letter must be brought along.
