Skills Essential for the Young Generation to Make India an AI Superpower; PM Modi Interacts with Gen-Z in Vadodara
Vadodara: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and dedicated various projects worth approximately ?35,000 crore in Vadodara, Gujarat, on Tuesday. During the visit, he engaged in a candid interaction with over 6,000 Gen-Z youths.
Speaking at the ‘Namo for a Developed India’ event, the Prime Minister said, "I have come among you today to accelerate the journey towards a developed India. Today, everything from computer chips to massive ships is being manufactured in India; in the past, however, files used to simply gather dust."
He added, "While attempts are being made to spread false narratives at every turn, India's young generation stands firm for the truth. The education system is being revamped. It is essential for Indian youth to be proficient in AI. Along with academic degrees, skills are a vital necessity. If India is to become an AI superpower, the ecosystem must evolve. The goal of a developed India by 2047 must remain paramount."
Highlighting the Gati Shakti Mission, the Prime Minister noted that Vadodara is home to the Gati Shakti University. Today, the final links of the Dedicated Freight Corridor were connected here. The Dedicated Freight Corridor project, spanning over 2,800 km, has been completed—a historic achievement for 21st-century India.
Referring to the delays under previous governments, he mentioned that the concept for this corridor originated in 2004, yet until 2014, files merely shuttled from one place to another. It was only after 2014 that the work gained momentum.
At the event, the Prime Minister urged the youth to actively participate in building a developed India.
