Sleeper cell of Bangladesh's Jamaat-e-Islami, a terrorist organization, is operating in Maharashtra including Mumbai
Sleeper cell: - Bangladeshis and Rohingyas are now on the radar, and the Central Intelligence Agency has issued a warning of alert. Information has come to light that a sleeper cell of Bangladesh's Jamaat-e-Islami, a terrorist organization, is operating in Maharashtra including Mumbai. It has been reported that this sleeper cell's network is in as many as 20 districts of the state. Due to this, the Central Intelligence Agency, the state's intelligence agencies and the police administration have been alerted. The investigation agency has been activated, and the search for Rohingyas and Bangladeshis is going on on a war footing.
According to the information that has come to light, it is estimated that fake birth certificates and documents have been distributed in about twenty districts of Maharashtra. The investigation agency estimates that there may be about one and a half to two lakh Bangladeshi infiltrators in the state. Local and administrative officials who help these infiltrators will also now be on the government's radar. After the change of power in Bangladesh, the Jamaat-e-Islami organization has become active once again, and the Intelligence Department has said that this terrorist organization poses a major threat to India.
Meanwhile, the Union Home Ministry has ordered the Chief Secretary of Maharashtra, Director General of Police and other relevant agencies to take immediate and appropriate legal action against the illegal immigrants entering Maharashtra from Bangladesh and Myanmar in large numbers. Taking note of the demand made by former MP Rahul Shewale to Union Home Minister Amit Shah for strict action against Bangladeshi immigrants, the Union Home Ministry has given the above instructions. This order of the Union Home Ministry is likely to accelerate the action against immigrants while the incident of attack on actor Saif Ali Khan by Bangladeshi immigrants is still fresh.
Rahul Shewale, in his statement to Home Minister Amit Shah on November 28, 2024, had mentioned a survey conducted by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) on immigrants. Shewale has written in his letter that according to a survey conducted by TISS, the number of Bangladeshi and Myanmar infiltrators in Mumbai is increasing rapidly. This has led to a breakdown in law and order in many places and has created serious social and economic problems. Some politicians are using such infiltrators as a 'vote bank'. These people who have come to India illegally are also seen to be affecting the employment of the locals, after which now orders have been given to take action against Rohingya and Bangladeshi infiltrators.
