Nagpur 29th : Nagpur, the vice capital of Maharashtra, should not be affected by flood situation in future. State Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Anil Patil said that a special package will be given for permanent protection and flood control.
    On the suggestion of Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of the district, Devendra Fadnavis, he had come to prepare an integrated plan on the flood situation of Nagpur. Fadnavis has given instructions to take modern measures so that Nagpur will not get flood situation even in extremely exceptional situation by raising funds through various departments of central and state government. Therefore, he suggested in the meeting today that all the departments should coordinate and prepare a comprehensive proposal.
   Panchnama should be completed in any case by October 2. Distribution of Sanugrah Fund should start from October 3. The report of the district regarding Panchnamya will be placed in the cabinet meeting. He explained in the meeting that funds will be made available by the state government for emergency relief.
     Earlier, the Relief and Rehabilitation Minister visited various parts of Nagpur city this morning and inspected the flood damage. After that, a meeting was held at Bhatt Bhavan in Collectorate. Zilla Parishad President Mukta Kokde, MLA Krishna Khopde, Vikas Kumbhare, And.Ashish Jaiswal, Vikas Thackeray, Collector Dr. Dr. Vipin Itankar, Municipal Corporation Commissioner. Abhijit Chaudhary, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Saumya Sharma, State Disaster Response Force Commissioner Dr. Priyanka Naranvare, Relief and Rehabilitation Department Deputy Secretary Dharurkar, Sandeep Joshi, along with District Administration, Municipal Corporation and Zilla Parishad Department Heads were present. Director of State Disaster Management Department Shri Appasaheb Dhulaj was present through television system.

       In this meeting, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Anil Patil inquired about the damage caused to the Municipal Corporation, District Administration and Zilla Parishad due to heavy rain similar to cloudburst on September 23. After that, he explained in the meeting to complete Panchnama by October 2. In the last five days, Panchnamas have been done on twelve and a half thousand. He directed that panchnamas of some other places are pending and they should be completed immediately.
  At this time, he appealed to some citizens to record the house documents and other damages in Panchnama, even if they don't want financial help. It was clearly suggested not to fall prey to anyone else's bait.
          He also clarified that the statistics of all the districts in the district should be collected and the affected people outside the municipal area will be positively helped. The government is trying to provide direct help.
          On this occasion, the people's representatives pointed out the various problems in the flood affected areas of Nagpur city. Speaking on it, he said, the government is trying to remove all the obstacles in the flow of Nag river. Help will be given to connect the broken security wall on Nag River. But now this will be a permanent construction. Some bridges will be reconstructed with new technology. Structural audit of Ambazari lake will be done. This 150 years old lake will be developed in such a way that there will be no danger for the next 150 years. The encroachment in the area of both the drains in the city will be removed. The government is trying to provide funds from the central and state governments for their development. In short, a special package for this will be prepared and approved in the coming session.
     Various agencies presented some pending demands and funding figures through the Relief and Rehabilitation Department. He also said that previous pending work would be settled by holding meetings at the ministerial level. Deputy Collector Piyush Chiwande gave vote of thanks for the meeting. After the meeting, Radhika Baluji Umredkar, daughter of Baluchi Pandhari Umredkar, who died in the disaster, was given a check of four lakh rupees by the government as a relief fund.
