Teacher loses his life after asking, "Why are you knocking on doors at this hour?"; brutal assault by men in uniform; 8 accused arrested

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Significant action has been taken regarding the suspicious death of Suresh Rupchand Borse, a Zilla Parishad teacher from Verul. Eknath Vishwanath Nagargoje, a Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) at the Vaijapur Police Station, has been suspended and subsequently arrested by the Local Crime Branch team. The total number of accused in this case has now reached eight.
On the night of June 10, a team from the Vaijapur police, accompanied by some private individuals, arrived in Verul village. Around midnight, while they were loudly banging on doors in the lane, teacher Suresh Borse confronted them, asking, "Why are you knocking on people's doors at this hour? Who are you?" Angered by his questioning and his demand for identification, the police forced the teacher into their vehicle and subjected him to a brutal beating. The teacher succumbed to the injuries sustained during this assault. The family's female members were also threatened with implication in a false criminal case.
