Mumbai, Dt. 27 : By Justice Sandeep Shinde (retd) regarding the statutory and administrative examination of the mandatory evidence required in the process of granting Maratha-Kunbi, Kunbi-Maratha caste certificates to the Maratha community in Marathwada and also to prescribe the procedures for issuing Maratha-Kunbi, Kunbi-Maratha caste certificates to the Maratha community after the inspection. Sumant Bhange, secretary of the General Administration Department (SAVIS), informed that the committee formed under the chairmanship has been given an extension till December 24, 2023 to complete the sustainable and basic work process.
In the process of granting Maratha-Kunbi, Kunbi-Maratha caste certificate to the Maratha community in Marathwada, the necessary and mandatory Nizam period evidences, genealogy, educational evidence, revenue evidence, agreements made during the Nizam period, charters given to Nizam period institutions, national documents etc. Maratha-Kunbi, Kunbi-Maratha has been entrusted with the responsibility of prescribing the procedure for issuing caste certificates.
The committee is chaired by Justice Sandeep Shinde (Retd.) Divisional Commissioner, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar is the member secretary of the committee and the Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue) and Principal Secretary, Law and Justice Department, Ministry, Mumbai, along with District Magistrates of eight districts of Marathwada are members of this committee. .
The first meeting of the committee dt. Held on 11 September 2023 in Mumbai. In this meeting, the working room of the committee was discussed in detail and the direction of the further work of the committee was decided. Also, this earlier committee had sent a team of the state government to Hyderabad to investigate the old revenue records of the Nizam in this regard. The team was instructed to examine sanadas, muntakhabs, contracts, census records, etc. in the Nizam's old records. Accordingly, under the chairmanship of Jamabandi Commissioner of Maharashtra State, some officials from his office and officials from Divisional Commissioner's office, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar office visited Hyderabad. People who knew Modi script and Urdu language were included along with them.
