There is no shortage of petrol and diesel in the state; Fadnavis clearly assures

Mumbai, March 9, 2026:-Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis clarified on Sunday that there is no possibility of any problem in the supply of petrol and diesel in the state due to the tension between the US and Iran. The central government has already taken all necessary measures for the country's energy security. Stating that the fuel stock in Maharashtra is sufficient and there is no shortage in any area, he appealed to the citizens not to panic and not to spread rumors.
Recently, the increase in the price of domestic LPG gas cylinders by Rs 60 and the reduction in the price of commercial cylinders by Rs 150 across the country had created an atmosphere of concern about fuel supply. In this backdrop, the Chief Minister, while presenting the facts, said that the central and state governments have remained vigilant at both the levels. "We are taking care of the convenience and safety of the citizens. Do not disturb the common people by creating an atmosphere of fear," Fadnavis said.
He also mentioned that the availability of fuel at petrol pumps is good in major urban and rural areas of Maharashtra. This statement has brought relief to citizens and is expected to bring control to the rumors circulating on social media.
