This India is not of my Gandhi but of Nathuram Godse - Mehbooba Mufti

New Delhi: Mehbooba Mufti, president of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), who arrived in Delhi to discuss the current state of affairs in Kashmir, said it was not Gandhi's India but Nathuram Godse's India and Godse's Kashmir was being plotted. There is a controversial statement that people do not even have freedom of speech. She was speaking during an agitation at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Monday.

Criticizing the central government, the Mufti has also made some serious allegations. She said the central government was pretending that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir was peaceful in front of the people of India. But in reality there is bloodshed on the streets, the anti-terrorist law is being imposed on the people over small things. The 'new Kashmir' that is being propagated to the people of the country is not true. A Kashmiri Pandit is killed in broad daylight, 18 months ago, a girl is agitating for the body of her father who was killed by the army. A Bihari man is killed in Kashmir.
The Mufti, while targeting the central government, said, "This is the new India, but everyone who talks about the constitution is considered a member of the 'Tukde Tukde Gang'." Farmers seeking the repeal of agricultural laws are called Khalistanis and are charged under the UAPA Act. The one who tries to present the situation in Kashmir to the people of the country is called a Pakistani.
When the Mufti was asked about the deletion of Article 370, he replied that the Kashmiri people had been robbed and deceived in the name of Article 370. There are many states in India where people from outside the state are not allowed to buy land. So if the central government has no problem with those states, then why object to Kashmir? The Central Government needs to interact with the people of Jammu and Kashmir as soon as possible.
