Two Special Trains to Run from Mumbai to Howrah for Bengal Assembly Elections; Check the Schedule

Mumbai: In light of the West Bengal Assembly elections and keeping in mind the rush during the summer holidays, Indian Railways has decided to operate two special trains between Mumbai and Howrah (Kolkata). These trains will primarily benefit migrant workers from Bengal, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha who are working in Mumbai, enabling them to travel home to cast their votes.
The details of the trains are as follows:
Train Number 01145 (Mumbai LTT to Howrah Special):
Will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT, Kurla) on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 8:15 PM.
Will arrive at Howrah on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 6:00 AM.
Train Number 01146 (Howrah to Mumbai LTT Special – Return Journey):
Will depart from Howrah on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 2:45 PM.
Will arrive at LTT Mumbai on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 11:45 PM.
Stoppages for Both Trains:
Thane, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Bhusawal, Akola, Badnera, Nagpur, Gondia, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Chakradharpur, Tatanagar, Kharagpur, and Santragachi.
Train Composition:
Each train will consist of 2 AC-2 Tier coaches, 9 AC-3 Tier coaches, 3 Sleeper Class coaches, 4 General Second Class coaches, 1 Second Seating-cum-Guard Brake Van, and 1 Generator Van.
Ticket Booking:
Online booking for tickets on these special trains has commenced on the IRCTC website and the RailOne app. Tickets are also available at offline counters. The Railways has appealed to passengers to arrive at the platform on time and to adhere to the rules. These trains will prove beneficial for additional passengers during the summer holidays, in addition to those traveling for the elections.
