Two dead, one missing due to heavy rains in Nagpur city

Nagpur, Dt. 21: Due to heavy rains in the city on Saturday 20th July 2024, three persons were swept away in different incidents and the dead bodies of two of them were found.
 According to the information in the preliminary inquiry report filed today by Talathas in Bharatwara, Poonapur and Somalwara, Nagpur (City) Tehsildar Santosh Khandere, Collector Dr. Presented to Vipin Itankar. The report found that three persons were swept away in the flood waters due to heavy rains.
 Shyamnagar in Punapur area
Bhojraj Bulichand Patle (52) was standing by the stream when his leg suddenly slipped and he was swept away by the stream. His body was recovered and sent to Mayo Hospital.
 Shravan Vijay Tulsikar (12) was swept away by the stream of water while playing on the side of a stream in Mohanbaba Nagar area under Bharatwada police station limits. The boy's body has not been found yet.
 In another accident, Sudha Vishweswarrao Verulkar (85), a mentally ill woman from Srihari Society in Narendra Nagar area, was swept away by the current while going from Beltarodi to Besa to see the flood of a nearby drain. His body was removed from the drain in Shyamnagar area on Sunday (July 21) morning.
