Under Mahavas Abhiyan Construction of 90 thousand houses-Prajakta Lavangare

- Priority will be given to landless families
Nagpur, dt. 1: 90,000 households are being provided to the homeless families in the division under Maha Awas Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Awas and in the second phase under the state sponsored Awas Yojana. Divisional Commissioner Prajakta Lavangare-Verma instructed to plan for the construction of Gharkula in the coming year.
A meeting of the Divisional Task Force on Planning of Maha Awas Abhiyan-2 initiative as well as provision of space for construction of houses was held in the auditorium of the Divisional Commissioner's Office under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Smt. Lavangare-Verma. Mrs. Lavangare-Verma was speaking while guiding at that time.
The workshop was attended by all the District Collectors, Chief Executive Officers, Group Development Officers and Heads of Departments through the Television System. Deputy Commissioner of Development Ankush Kedar, Assistant Commissioner Smt. Manjusha Thakkar, Regional Deputy Commissioner of Social Justice Siddharth Gaikwad, S. of Tribal Development Department. M. Pathak Adi was also present.
Under the Maha Awas Abhiyan, an ambitious campaign for construction of houses for rural families is being implemented in the department. The construction of 2 lakh 23 thousand houses has been completed in the first phase and 90 thousand houses will be constructed by March 31, 2022 in the second phase. The target for construction of 60 thousand 498 houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and 29 thousand 473 houses under state sponsored housing has been fixed.
While instructing the revenue and Zilla Parishad agencies to work in coordination with the district to solve the problems related to construction at the district level, Mrs. Lavangare-Verma said, Objectives should be met with specific planning in this regard. He also said that the beneficiaries have a grant of Rs.
Construction of Gharkul is pending due to lack of space. Sub-Divisional Revenue Officers and Group Development Officers should take initiative to provide space for such houses, while active participation of land representatives, construction of multi-storied buildings as well as people's representatives including NGOs for construction. He also said that the objective of building a house should be achieved by giving the combined benefit of various schemes of the government while enhancing the quality and quality of the house by implementing innovative initiatives.
At the outset, Deputy Commissioner for Development Ankush Kedar welcomed the gathering and gave information about the construction of houses under the district wise rural housing scheme under Mahawas Abhiyan-2 in Nagpur division. In this scheme Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ramai Awas Yojana, Atal Bandhakam, Kamgar Awas Yojana, Yashwantrao Chavan Mukt Vasahat Yojana, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay The house will be completed within 120 days. For this, the participation of banks should be increased to provide loans to the beneficiaries, he said.
In addition to regularizing the forest department land, it was suggested that the beneficiaries should be encouraged to build houses by increasing the participation of Gram Sevaks in this scheme. The Collector and the Chief Executive Officer made various suggestions for the effective implementation of this scheme.
