Vaishnavi Hagavane Death Case: Suicide or Murder? Shocking revelations from the autopsy report!
Pune: The Vaishnavi Hagavane death case has created a stir in the entire Maharashtra. Vaishnavi Hagavane, a married woman from Pimpri-Chinchwad, died on May 16, 2025. Initial investigation had said that her death was a suicide, but due to the information revealed in the autopsy report, the case has now come under suspicion of murder.
According to the autopsy report, Vaishnavi died due to strangulation and many marks of beating were found on her body. There were bruises on her hands, legs, thighs and chin as well as signs of blood pooling. Due to these revelations, Vaishnavi's family has made a serious allegation that her death was not a suicide but a murder. They have accused Vaishnavi's husband Shashank Hagavane, in-laws and brother-in-law of torture and murder.
Vaishnavi's family said that she was constantly harassed by her in-laws for dowry. Also, she had filed a complaint with the police six months before her death, but no concrete action was taken on it. Apart from this, an audio clip of Vaishnavi has gone viral, in which she is talking to her friend about her in-laws' harassment. This clip has given a new twist to the investigation.
The police have intensified the investigation into the case, and some family members, including Vaishnavi's husband Shashank Hagavane and his father, Nationalist Congress Party office bearer Rajendra Hagavane, are believed to be absconding. The police have sent internal organs and other samples for chemical testing during the autopsy, which is likely to clarify the exact cause of death and other details.
The case has also created a stir in local political circles, as Rajendra Hagavane is associated with the Ajit Pawar group. Some political leaders have demanded strict action in this case. Currently, the police are conducting a thorough investigation into the reasons for Vaishnavi's death, and more information is likely to come out in the coming days.
The final conclusion on whether this case is a suicide or a murder will be clear only after the investigation. But Vaishnavi's death has once again highlighted the issue of dowry and domestic violence.
