Vande Bharat Sleeper Train Fares Announced: From ?1520 for 400 km to ?13300 for 3500 km!
Mumbai, January 13, 2026: Indian Railways has announced the ticket prices for the Vande Bharat Sleeper train, and these fares are likely to surprise passengers. This train has been specially designed for long-distance overnight journeys and will be faster and more comfortable than the Rajdhani Express. The Railway Board stated that there will be no RAC or waiting list on this train; only confirmed tickets will be available. This will eliminate the problem of two people having to share a single berth.
The Vande Bharat Sleeper train will have modern amenities similar to airlines, such as a speed of 180 km per hour, automatic doors, bio-vacuum toilets, Kavach safety system, and reading lights and charging points for each passenger. For example, the fare for Third AC for the 958 km distance from Howrah (Kolkata) to Kamakhya (Guwahati) will be approximately ?2300 (including meals).
The ticket prices are based on distance, and GST will be extra. The fares are as follows:
Up to 400 km: Third AC ?960, Second AC ?1240, First AC ?1520.
Up to 800 km: Third AC ?1920, Second AC ?2480, First AC ?3040.
Up to 1600 km: Third AC ?3840, Second AC ?4960, First AC ?6080.
Up to 2000 km: Third AC ?4800, Second AC ?6200, First AC ?7600.
Up to 2800 km: Third AC ?6720, Second AC ?8680, First AC ?10640.
