
Villagers angry over negelation
Gondiya, Date 26 Hundreds of schemes under the Jaljeevan Mission in Gondia district are stuck in red tape. Villagers are suffering due to the neglect of public representatives. However, the settlement of pending works in Nagpur district has increased.
Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Saturday directed the officials to complete the pending works of schemes under the Jaljeevan Mission in Nagpur district by August 10, 2025. He reviewed the schemes in Nagpur district. Gondia district is in the wind. Since the guardian minister of this district is the guest minister, hundreds of schemes have been stuck for three to four years. Toll collection is going on in the scheme in Dongargaon (Khazari). When do the water supply officers of the Zilla Parishad tell the villagers to give a resolution of the Gram Sabha to connect Putli with the regional water supply scheme. They are told after the villagers give a resolution. This scheme will not start immediately. On the other hand, the approved water supply scheme worth one crore rupees is being blocked. The villagers are fed up with this toll road. The demand is that the District Collector should hold a meeting on this issue and coordinate.
Bridge issue
The second issue is that of the Dongargaon-Regenpar bridge. This bridge has been stalled for fifteen years. The foundation stone of the bridge was laid by the then MP Praful Patel. Since then, the bridge has been stalled. Meanwhile, Nana Patole and Sunil Mendhe have become MPs. Now Pramod Padole is the MP. During this time, none of the three have even uttered a word about the bridge. In the meantime, District Collector Gotamare came. He held at least 15 meetings on the bridge issue. He changed many orders regarding the difficulties and got the bridge work on track. All that was left was to issue the work contract. Meanwhile, he was transferred. Now a year has passed. The bridge work contract remains in a mess. The senior officers of the Saab are more interested in new work. Villagers are in a state of mind to file an FIR against the public representatives and officials if there is a loss of life in the flood.

When the guardian minister of the district, Sudhir Mungantiwar, was the one who ordered the provision of a fund of one crore rupees for the Parsodi Bypass Road in the district planning committee meeting. A letter was given to the Parsodi Gram Panchayat. One and a half to two years have passed since this incident. However, there is no address of the bypass. Gram Panchayat officials are visiting the government office with the letter. These three burning issues are related to at least ten to fifteen villages in Sadak/Arjuni taluka. There is extreme negligence on the part of the MPs and MLAs. If this issue is not resolved in 2025, the villagers are preparing to implement a bold program of dharna on the houses of the public representatives.
