“Awaaz Maharashtracha – Nagpurchya Parivartanacha” (Voice of Maharashtra – For the Transformation of Nagpur) Campaign Announced from Nagpur
Nagpur, 26th: On behalf of the Maharashtra Pradesh Youth Congress, the mass-movement campaign titled “Awaaz Maharashtracha – Nagpurchya Parivartanacha” was officially announced today in Nagpur. Maharashtra Pradesh Youth Congress President Shivraj More stated that this campaign would be implemented across the state to raise a voice against the city's escalating civic issues—including unemployment, traffic congestion, water scarcity, inflation, pollution, and matters concerning basic amenities for citizens.
He remarked that Nagpur is a city of immense importance within the state. Today, citizens are compelled to struggle even for basic amenities. He criticized the fact that while grand announcements are frequently made in this politically significant city, the issues faced by the common citizen are, in reality, consistently neglected.
Under this campaign, focus will be directed toward the following key issues: Regular supply of clean drinking water; Pothole-free roads and effective traffic management; Employment opportunities for unemployed youth; Concrete measures for women's safety; Improvements in sanitation and waste management; Elevating the quality of municipal hospitals and healthcare facilities; Environmental conservation and pollution control; and Effective solutions for the fundamental issues faced by residents of slums as well as the middle class.
Through this campaign, Youth Congress office-bearers will conduct various activities across the city, including citizen dialogues, mass protests, petition drives, ward-wise meetings, and public awareness programs. Shivraj More clarified that this campaign is not limited merely to criticism; rather, a struggle for the holistic development of Nagpur will be waged based on the approach of "Dialogue • Struggle • Resolution." Speaking on this occasion, Ajay Chikara, the State In-charge of the Youth Congress, criticized the Central Government's passive policies, asserting that the government is responsible for rising inflation, unemployment, and the various issues plaguing the common citizens. Present at the press conference were State Co-in-charge Navjot Singh Sandhu; Nagpur Zone In-charge and Vice President Kapil Dhoke; Vice Presidents Tanveer Vidrohi and Anurag Bhoyar; General Secretaries Abhishek Dhavad, Ritesh Pandav, Raunak Chaudhary, Akshay Hete, Sushant Lokhande, Sagar Chavan, and Anushka Wankhede; State Secretaries Nikhil Wankhede, Shrikant Dhone, Radhika Deshmukh, Roma Chaudhary, Mehul Advani, Hemant Kature, and Dheeraj Dhakate; along with other office bearers.
