Nagpur, Date 21:- Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis assured in the Legislative Assembly that he will provide justice to the people of Maharashtra by achieving balanced development of Vidarbha, Marathwada, North Maharashtra, Konkan and the backward areas.
He clarified that irrigation projects and industrial projects in Vidarbha and Marathwada will be completed and the water grid project in Marathwada will be put on track. He said that Gadchiroli is emerging as a steel city and Naxalism in Gadchiroli will be brought under control in the next three years. At the same time, Chief Minister Mr. Fadnavis clarified in the House that he will conduct a thorough investigation into this matter to check the irregularities of crop insurance companies.
Chief Minister Fadnavis was speaking in the Legislative Assembly while responding to the debate on the final week proposal.
Irrigation in Vidarbha
Chief Minister Fadnavis said that the Wainganga-Painganga-Nalganga river linking project will be implemented in the next seven years to increase the irrigation area in Vidarbha. This project worth Rs 88 thousand crores will bring 10 lakh acres of land under irrigation. This project will create a new river of 550 km length, which will provide abundant water to Vidarbha. Approval has been given to improve the Nag River. There are projects like Nag-Pohra-Pivli River and efforts are being made to prevent sewage from entering these rivers. This will also help in growth in the industrial sector. Abundant water will also give impetus to the industrial development of Vidarbha. The Baliraja scheme will increase the irrigation area for projects in Vidarbha, Marathwada and Western Maharashtra. The Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchan Yojana is proving to be useful in increasing the irrigation area. Kanhan River diversion project has been approved and 3200 acres of land will come under irrigation.
International standard forest tourism, water tourism in Vidarbha
Chief Minister Mr. Fadnavis said that due to huge investment by the Central and State Governments, water tourism opportunities will be available through the Gosi Khurd project. Water tourism will be started at Abhora and forest tourism will be started at Bhandara, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Gondia. This will provide direct and indirect employment opportunities. Especially, this tourist destination of international standard will be created.
Industrial development in Vidarbha
Mining projects have been undertaken in the priority order of Gadchiroli-Chandrapur-Wardha-Bhandara-Nagpur. In this, Gadchiroli has received industrial investment of Rs 50 thousand crores and Gadchiroli is emerging as a steel project due to mineral-based projects. It has been decided to set up a coal gasification plant in Chandrapur. A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed for this project and the approval of the Centre has also been received. The Ferro Alloy Cluster Development in Ramtek, Bhandara will generate employment. Nagpur Metro Project-2 will be completed with the help of the Asian Development Bank. The Chief Minister clarified that the Cotton to Textile and Textile to Fashion concept has been completed in the Textile Park of Amravati.
Help to Farmers
A fund of about Rs 16,219 crore has been provided to farmers who have suffered losses due to unseasonal rains. While a bonus of Rs 20,000 per hectare is being given to paddy farmers, Chief Minister Mr. Fadnavis said. The orange crops of 55,000 farmers in the districts of Wardha, Amravati, Akola and Buldhana had been damaged. The Chief Minister said that an aid of about Rs 165 crore has been provided to these farmers, limited to an area of ??three hectares.
Appropriate assistance is being provided to soybean and cotton producers and so far about 23 lakh 68 thousand 475 quintals of soybean have been purchased at 557 guaranteed price purchase centers in the state. This is a big purchase compared to the last fifteen years. These purchase centers will continue till January 12. The Chief Minister said that instructions have been given to the concerned officials regarding the start of the procurement system on the soil of Madhya Pradesh.
Marathwada Industrial Development Corridor
Chief Minister Fadnavis said that due to the provision of infrastructure facilities to industries in the state, the inclination of entrepreneurs towards the state has increased and after Pune, Sambhajinagar and Jalna are coming forward as two big industrial areas, Marathwada is becoming a big corridor for industrial development. Since the Vande Bharat train is being manufactured in the coach factory of Latur, there is a big employment opportunity here. Since the Toyota project has come to Auric City, there is a big employment opportunity. A training center has been set up here to create skilled manpower to create an automobile eco-system. A green field route worth Rs 14,886 crore is being constructed from Shirur to Ch. Sambhaji Nagar. Dairy farming will be promoted with the help of Madhat Dairy to enable farmers in Marathwada and Vidarbha to do dairy farming.
Height of Almatti Dam
Currently, the issue of the height of Almatti Dam is under discussion and the state government will take appropriate precautions to ensure that there is no loss of life or property damage to farmers and common citizens of Kolhapur and Sangli, he said.
Investigation into crop insurance irregularities
The government launched the crop insurance scheme to recover from the loss of farmers' crops due to natural disasters. This is a good scheme for farmers. Members have raised some serious issues in the House regarding this scheme.
