Woman arrested with gold worth one crore at Kozhikode airport

Four killed in car accident in Thrissur
new Delhi. Day 26- A Dubai-bound girl was arrested on Monday morning from outside the Karipur airport here for allegedly smuggling around two kg of gold, which she had hidden in her underwear. Police gave this information. An officer of Karipur police station said that three packets of gold were stitched and hidden in the underwear of the woman, whose value is about one crore rupees.
Customs officials were unable to trace the gold at the airport, but police, acting on a tip-off, were waiting for a 19-year-old girl in the parking area. He said that when the girl was questioned, she denied the allegations, but on a search, three packets of gold were seized from her. According to the official, the weight of the seized gold is around 1.88 kg.

Four people died in a car-bus collision
On the other hand, four people were killed in a collision between a car and a bus in Eravu area of Thrissur district of Kerala on Monday. An official from Anthikad police station said that those killed include Vincent, Mary, Joseph and Thomas, who are said to be members of the same family. According to the police, the incident took place around 12.45 pm when the car rammed into a bus coming from the opposite direction. Some people on the bus have suffered minor injuries in the accident. Visuals broadcast on local TV channels showed the car's front end completely damaged.
