ex.government minister Atishi has targeted the central government over the Mahila Samman Nidhi scheme

After digging a mountain, a mouse came out, instead of ?2500, women got a 'committee', Atishi raised questions on Samman Nidhi
New Delhi: Delhi ex.government minister Atishi has targeted the central government over the Mahila Samman Nidhi scheme. She said that women were promised ?2500 every month, but now there is talk of giving them a 'committee'. She termed this decision as a betrayal of women.
Atishi said that the central government had made big promises, but when the time came to implement the scheme, women were disappointed. She raised the question that what happened to the announcement made in the name of economic empowerment of women?
"Women were supposed to get ?2500 every month, which would have strengthened their financial condition, but now it is being given by forming a committee. This is like cheating women directly," Atishi said.
Under this scheme, the government had talked about giving financial assistance to women, which would have given them convenience in their expenses. But now this scheme seems to be deviating from its original spirit. Atishi said that this is a big fraud committed with women and the government should give a clear answer on this.
After this statement, there has been a stir in the political corridors. There has been no official response from the central government on this issue yet.
