Nagpur, Dt. 2 – Candidates contesting the Lok Sabha elections must submit their expenditure information to the Expenditure Control Room within the time limit and in the prescribed manner as prescribed by the Election Commission of India. The Election Department appealed to the Election Commission of India to follow the limits set by the Election Commission regarding expenditure.
As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, symbols have been distributed to the candidates who are in the Lok Sabha general election fray from Nagpur and Ramtek Lok Sabha constituencies. A meeting was recently concluded to explain all legal provisions and instructions of the Commission regarding election expenditure after allocation, consequences of non-compliance. In this meeting, the candidates and their representatives were informed about the types of election expenses, Representation of the People Act 1951, limit of election expenses to the candidates, methods of spending by the candidates, register of election expenses to be kept by the candidate, examination of the account of election expenses, district expenses monitoring committee etc.
Election Expenditure Inspector of Nagpur Lok Sabha Constituency Guru Bhashyam, Election Expenditure Inspectors of Ramtek Lok Sabha Constituency Manish Dwivedi and Anunay Bhati, Electoral Decision Officer of Ramtek Lok Sabha Constituency Tushar Thombre, Nodal Officer of Expenditure Control Cell of Nagpur Ward Vileen Khadse, Nodal Officer of Ramtek Expenditure Control Cell Seema Nanhore Candidates, their election representatives, expenditure representatives attended the training along with them.
Nodal Officer of Expenditure Control Cell Willeen Khadse trained the candidates of Nagpur Lok Sabha Constituency and Accounts Officer Shailesh Kothe trained the candidates of Ramtech. During the training, the candidates learned the answers to various questions regarding their election expenses.
