'This' ambitious scheme of Modi government will be implemented in Maharashtra, cabinet decision

Mumbai - A major decision has been taken in today's Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. This decision is going to change the entire nature of schools in Maharashtra. The ambitious and big plan of the central government will be implemented in PM Shri Maharashtra.
A discussion was held in the Cabinet meeting regarding implementation of Pradhan Mantri School for Rising India in Maharashtra. Discussions were going on among the ministers for the implementation of the plan. The central government had announced the scheme on September 2022. Under this scheme, 14 thousand 597 schools will be started in the country.
These schools will be known as model schools. 18 lakh students of the country will benefit from this. This scheme is now going to be implemented in Maharashtra.

An amount of Rs.2022-23 has been sanctioned in the budget for the year 2022-23 through which physical qualitative development of the school will be brought about.
Under the PM Shri Yojana, all government schools including Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya, Zilla Parishad, Municipal Corporation will be included. In collaboration with the states, these schools will be equipped with smart classrooms, sports and other essential elements for schools.
The schools included in the Prime Minister Schools for Rising India (PM Shri) scheme will be run by the central government and some schools will also be run by the state.
As per the National Education Policy 2020, PMShri Yojana has been launched to prepare students to become citizens who will contribute productively towards the creation of a society that is equal, inclusive and perfect.
More than 20 lakh students of the country will be directly included in this scheme. To motivate and encourage understanding of the various dimensions of quality of school education through policy making, practice and implementation, the PMC scheme will gradually spread the education imparted in selected schools to other schools in the country.
