“Protests won’t make Gyanesh Kumar resign”; Ramdas Athawale’s clear statement; advice given to Abhijit Dipke

Mumbai: Protests demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar are underway across the country, including in Delhi. Demonstrations are being held at various locations by the INDIA bloc and the 'Cockroach Janata Party' (CJP). Today, the Congress and the INDIA bloc organized a march to the Supreme Court.
Against this backdrop, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale made a significant statement. He said, "No matter how many protests are held, Gyanesh Kumar will not resign."
What did Athawale say about the CJP’s agitation?
Speaking about the protests organized by the CJP across the country, including in Delhi, Athawale said:
"Attempts are being made to spread anarchy. There is an effort to cause inconvenience to the public. However, I appeal to Abhijit Dipke: constant protesting is not the right path. You protested one day, and then again the next. Yet, no matter how many protests take place, Gyanesh Kumar will not resign."
Criticism of the INDIA bloc’s march
Regarding the march to the Supreme Court organized by the INDIA bloc, Athawale said:
"The reality is that organizing marches is the only thing left for the INDIA bloc to do. They show no desire to work for the country. We, on the other hand, are working ceaselessly for the nation's development. The opposition has the freedom to hold peaceful rallies, but constantly holding rallies is not appropriate. I feel that the agitation by Rahul Gandhi and the INDIA bloc is aimed at deliberately causing trouble for the people."
Criticism from Fadnavis as well
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also criticized this march. He stated that this action by the Congress is completely unconstitutional. Attempts are being made to malign constitutional institutions while holding the Constitution in hand. Efforts are underway to incite the public by portraying institutions like the Supreme Court and the RBI as ineffective. Fadnavis also stated that this is a conspiracy to establish an ultra-Left ideology.
