75 walls to be painted in Nagpur on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence *

Nagpur, Dec 14: Manpat will soon organize a competition to paint 75 walls of Nagpur city in the nectar of Independence.
Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari held a meeting at the corporation headquarters on Tuesday regarding the organization of this competition. The above decision was taken at that meeting. The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner Deepak Kumar Meena, Deputy Commissioner Milind Meshram, Education Officer Preeti Mishrikotkar, Assistant Education Officer Rajendra Suke, Nagpur District Arts Teachers Association President Narendra Barai, Treasurer Shekhar Wanskar, Managing Director of Soft Touch Wall Putty and Paint Swapnil Mohta.
                           75 years of Indian independence. This nectar festival of freedom is being celebrated in Nagpur city with various concepts. Efforts are underway to make the year of Amrut Mahotsavi of Indian Independence an important message for the people of Nagpur through the innovative concepts of Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari. The competition will be organized at the concept of the mayor to spread the message of 75 walls of various government offices, government hospitals, municipal health centers, colleges, religious places, airports as well as buildings of other institutions in Nagpur city.
In connection with the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, there will be competitions on the three themes of 'History of India', 'Nagpur of Tomorrow' and 'Civil Duty'. Artists from Nagpur city, students of Government Painting College, teachers etc. will participate in the competition. Necessary colors will be supplied by the municipality for the competition. Manpala has got the help of soft touch wall putty and paint for color.
The purpose of this competition is to make the citizens get various messages through the city walls, to know the history, to be aware of their responsibilities and to make the people aware of it. A committee should be constituted for organizing the competition. The mayor directed to include the staff of real estate department, advertisement department and education department in the committee so that all the departments can work in coordination and solve the problems related to the competition. The mayor said that further discussions will be held with various artists of the city as well as representatives of painting colleges to make the competition a reality.
