Transformational Changes in Recruitment in Indian Army
An advertisement published in a leading newspaper on Friday titled 'Transformational Changes in Recruitment in Indian Army' informs about the new three-stage methodology for the recruitment process. The first step will be the online Common Entrance Examination (CEE) for all candidates at designated centres. This will be followed by Physical Fitness Test and finally Medical Test for the candidates who have qualified in the Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE) during Army Agniveer Recruitment Rallies.
What was the process now?
The Agniveer recruitment process so far required candidates to undergo a physical fitness test, followed by a medical test and appearing for the online Common Entrance Examination (CEE) as the final stage. But, now the online Common Entrance Examination is the first step. This will also help in making screening easier. The source said the new process will be applicable to around 40,000 candidates who are willing to join the Army from the next recruitment cycle of 2023-24.
