Celebration of National Chemistry Week of Dr. Ambedkar ACS Chapter
Nagpur, dt. 22- National Chemistry Week was celebrated in collaboration with International Student Chapter, Dr. Ambedkar College and Siddharth College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Mumbai. For this, a national level oral presentation and quiz competition was held. Prizes were awarded to the winners. It is an awareness campaign that enhances the value of chemistry in daily life. ACS members and chemistry enthusiasts celebrate the week by coordinating events and emphasizing the importance of chemistry. National Chemistry Week raises awareness of the positive effects of chemistry locally, nationally and globally. The theme for National Chemistry Week 2021 this year was Fast or Slow Chemistry makes it go. The examining director of this program, Dr. Santosh D. Devsarkar, Department of Chemistry, Swami Ramanand Tirtha Marathwada University, Nanded, Mumbai Dr. Vishal Banewar, Associate Department of Chemistry, Institute of Science. Dr. Ramesh N. Trees and Dr. Suraj A. Purandare Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, Siddhartha College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai. Dr. Nandkishore Chandan, Deputy Principal and Head, Department of Chemistry, Siddharth College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai and Prof. Dr. Deepa Panhekar, HOD Chemistry, Nagpur and Faculty Advisor, ACS Chapter DACN. No. 1: Gupta, Dr. Homi Bhabha State University, Institute of Science, Mumbai.
Second and third place went to Dr. Ambedkar College Deekshabhoomi Nagpur by Akshat Hatwar and Sayali Chakre respectively.
Winners of the quiz competition:
1. Soumya Patel, Kuchinda College, Kuchinda, Odisha
2. Prayati Chunatkar, Shri Shivaji Agricultural College, Amravati
3. Anita Kumari Srivastava, Department of Chemistry, RTM Nagpur University The winners were given prize money and certificates. Prof. Dr. Ashok Sunatkari, Principal, Siddharth College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai and Prof. Dr. BA Mehere, Principal, Dr. Ambedkar College, Nagpur congratulated the winners and the organizing team.
