This group included classmates and friends of the 10th batch of 1990 from Bhairavnath Vidyalaya. They had gone to Rishikesh-Gangotri for religious and tourist purposes. However, contact with them was lost since Tuesday night and an atmosphere of concern was created in the village. Some had posted their last status as “We are leaving for Gangotri”.
There was an atmosphere of concern in the village as there was no contact with all of them. However, good news came on Wednesday night. The bus driver directly contacted the bus owner Rashid Khan and informed him that all the tourists were safe in Gangotri. He said that the mobiles were discharged due to power supply disruption due to rain and due to which no contact could be made.
Information about these passengers has also been received from the Disaster Management Department of Uttarakhand, and all of them have crossed the Hina check post and are currently safe. Principal Vitthal Khedkar was also in this group. There is an atmosphere of satisfaction in the village after receiving information about their safety.
