Delhi's air becomes 'very bad', GRAP-2 will be implemented from Tuesday morning

New Delhi: With the onset of winter, air pollution has started increasing in Delhi. On Monday, Delhi's air has reached a very bad condition, after which it has been decided to implement GRAP-2. GRAP-2 will be implemented from 8 am on Tuesday.
The air quality in the capital Delhi is getting worse every day due to air pollution. The effect of stifling air is visible on people's health. The Air Quality Index i.e. AQI has increased and reached very bad. The condition of air quality can become very bad on October 20. In such a situation, now GRAP-2 is also likely to be implemented soon. Under GRAP-2, restrictions like ban on diesel generators are imposed. The Delhi government held an important meeting on Friday regarding air pollution. State government's Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that 13 air pollution hotspots have been identified. Field work will be started from Saturday.
Environment Minister in Delhi Government, Gopal Rai said, "Air quality in Delhi has reached the poor category. Air pollution is increasing in 13 hotspots. 13 coordination committees have been formed to monitor these 13 hotspots. MCD DC has been made its in-charge. The source of pollution in all the hotspots has been identified. The in-charge will go to the field on Saturday. Anti-smog guns will be deployed by PWD so that pollution can be controlled there."
