Drugs worth Rs 5000 crore seized in Gujarat, 5 accused arrested with 500 kg cocaine

Ahmedabad: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has achieved a major success in Gujarat, seizing 518 kg of cocaine worth Rs 5,000 crore. During this raid, action was taken for the third time within 12 days in collaboration with Delhi and Gujarat Police in the industrial area of ????Gujarat. Five people have been arrested in this operation, some of whom are also foreign nationals, who are believed to be the main members of this international drug smuggling network.
The NCB had received secret information that a large international drug smuggling network was smuggling cocaine into India. Based on this information, the agency conducted raids, in which a large amount of cocaine along with other drugs and equipment were recovered. Earlier, 150 kg of cocaine was seized in the first raid conducted on October 2 and 200 kg of cocaine was seized in the second raid on October 6. After these two incidents, the NCB gathered information and conducted the third raid, in which the largest amount of cocaine was recovered.
The NCB has said that this international drug network is not limited to India only, but it also has access to other countries. The NCB further said that many more people may also be involved in this network, whose identification and search is going on. The agency says that they are committed to taking strict action against smugglers, and this incident once again highlights the growing threat of drugs in India.
