ED raids former IAS officer's house, office

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday raided the home and office of retired IAS officer and activist Harsh Mander in New Delhi. According to sources, the raid took place just hours after Mander and his wife left for Germany.

The raid began at 8 a.m. today at his residence in Vasant Kunj and his office at the Center for Equity Studies in Adhchini. According to sources, the ED had also raided a children's home in Mehrauli.
The temple left for Germany on Thursday morning for a fellowship at the Robert Bosch Academy in Berlin. He is currently the Director of the Center for Equity Studies. The National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) had in July told the Delhi High Court that action had been directed against the two children's homes associated with the temple after various violations and inconsistencies were found. One of the violations mentioned by NCPCR in its reply to the court was that they were informed that children were taken to protest places with Jantar Mantar. The reply was filed in response to a petition filed by two children's homes run by the Center for Equity Studies (CES) seeking quashing of NCPCR's investigation report.
