Gen Z to get a chance in BJP President Nitin Nabin's new team; who from Maharashtra will secure a spot?

New Delhi – It has been seven months since Nitin Nabin took over the reins as the BJP's National President, yet his new team has not yet been announced. The process of major organizational reshuffling began after the conclusion of the Parliament's Monsoon Session. Speculation suggests that Nitin Nabin's team will likely be announced by the end of this week.
The final list of names for Nitin Nabin's team is currently being prepared. During the parliamentary session, Home Minister Amit Shah held discussions with several senior and prominent leaders, including Kailash Vijayvargiya, Navneet Rana, Rekha Sharma, and Ujjwal Nikam. Through this new team, the BJP aims to formulate a roadmap for the future. The primary objectives are to cultivate new leadership within the party and devise robust strategies for upcoming elections; consequently, the team will feature a blend of experienced veterans and young leaders. Some Union Ministers may also be reassigned to organizational roles.
What will the new team look like?
The National President's team is expected to comprise approximately 38 members, including 13 National Vice-Presidents, 8 National General Secretaries, 1 National General Secretary (Organization), 15 National Secretaries, and 1 National Treasurer. Announcements regarding the presidencies of the Yuva Morcha (Youth Wing), OBC Morcha, and Minority Morcha are also likely. In accordance with the party's constitution, which mandates 33% reservation for women, the inclusion of at least 13 female leaders is anticipated.
Priority for young faces
Nitin Nabin himself is 46 years old, making it likely that young leaders will be entrusted with significant responsibilities within his team. Given the recent impact of Gen Z-led movements across the country, the BJP is preparing to prioritize young faces in the new team. States like Uttar Pradesh have a significant Gen Z voter base; therefore, the party is likely to offer opportunities to young leaders to attract this demographic. This new team will oversee the upcoming assembly elections and lay the groundwork for the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. There is talk of some leaders from Maharashtra securing a place in the central team as well. The party has prepared a list of two leaders from each state, and there is a possibility that one of them will be included in the central team.
