Hundreds of voter cards found on the road after Lok Sabha elections, commotion

Thane. Police have registered a case after 720 voter ID cards were found on the road in Thane district of Maharashtra. An official gave this information on Saturday. The official said that on Thursday, passersby saw voter cards scattered on the ground near Pisavali Gate on Sheel-Kalyan Road.
He said that based on the complaint of election officials, Manpada police in Dombivali area on Friday registered a case of theft and other charges under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Representation of the People Act. The official said that an investigation is being conducted to find out from where the voter ID cards were stolen and who are the people behind it.
