Immersion of 6775 POP idols in the capital even after the ban - Collection of 127 tons of Nirmalya
Nagpur, Dec 21: 1 lakh 27 thousand 776 Ganesha idols were immersed in ten zones of the city. It contained 6,774 POP idols. These are the figures of the artificial ponds arranged in the municipality and the idols made in the mobile immersion ponds.
127.68 tons of Nirmalya was collected by Manpada along with idol wizards in the city. Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari and Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B. responded to the corporation's call to immerse the idol of Lord Ganesha in the Vijarsan Kunda by celebrating the environmentally friendly Ganeshotsav. He also thanked the people of Nagpur.
Apart from this, many people made their invaluable contribution to the environmentally friendly Ganeshotsav by immersing their idols at home.
270 artificial watering ponds were set up. A total of 1 lakh 27 thousand 776 idols including 1 lakh 20 thousand 991 clay idols and 6785 POP idols were immersed in it.
