Nagpur, Dt. 24: Lakshminarayan Institute of Technology (LIT) has made valuable achievements in the field of chemical technology. Also, valuable contribution has been made in research and creation of good manpower. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed his belief that this organization will play a significant role in making the country the third largest economy in the world in the coming years.

            Deputy Chief Minister Shri. Fadnavis was speaking. Chancellor of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University Dr. Dr. Subhash Chaudhary, Director of LIT. Raju Mankar, LIT Alumni Association President Abhay Deshpande and other dignitaries were present on the stage.

            The Deputy Chief Minister said, LIT Institute with its glorious history of 80 years has provided the best research and manpower to Maharashtra and the country. This organization has taken the lead in the field of chemical technology by changing with time. Shri. Fadnavis mentioned on this occasion. He also highlighted that in this educational policy, there is a provision to give autonomy and prestigious university status to the important institutions of the country.

Relive the old memories of LIT

        Mr. Fadnavis highlighted his bond with the institution by saying that during his student life, he used to come to the LIT hostel to meet friends. India is the fifth largest economic power in the world and in the coming years, the country wants to take the country to the third position in this category. Research, skilled manpower is needed for that. For this, the LIT institution can make a valuable contribution, saying that the state government and the university stand firmly behind the institution, Mr. Fadnavis expressed.

Honoring Alumni

        In this program Mr. Fadnavis presented 'Jewel of LIT' and 'Youth Icon' awards to alumni in various categories. Dr. Dwarkanath Kale, Dr. Atul Vaidya, Prashant Naseri, Subrahmanyam Sarma, Rituraj Govilkar, Vinod Kalkotwar, Kishore Dhokane, Anil Ghube were honored with the 'Jewel of LIT' award. Yogendra Shastri was felicitated with 'Youth Icon' award.
            Earlier, Mr. Fadnavis saluted the full-length statue of LIT founder Rao Bahadur Lakshminarayan. Dr. in the premises of the institution. He inaugurated the P. S. May Memorial Pilot Plant. The annual 'Lita Samvad' of the organization was released by the Deputy Chief Minister.
