Maharashtra Air Rifle Shooting Championship gets underway at Priyadarshini College

The Maharashtra Air Rifle Shooting Championship got underway at the Priyadarshini College Shooting Range, Hingna Road here on Sunday.
The prestigious competition is being jointly organised by Nagpur District Rifle Association (NDRA) and Maharashtra Rifle Association (MRA).
Maharashtra Rifle Association executive committee member and Nagpur District Rifle Association vice-president Dushyant Chaturvedi inaugurated the tournament on Sunday. On this occasion founder secretary of NDRA Chandrakant Deshmukh, Lokmanya Tilak Institution director Abhijit Deshmukh, MRA officials Viraj Shelatkar, NDRA joint secretary Udhamsingh, treasurer Dilip Behre, Ajay Kadu, Samarjeet Yadav, Cliford Naidu, Shashannk Chauhan, Abhishek Raut, Abhinav Pande, Sumant Tayde, Deepak Meshram, Satyajit Yerne, Kalpana Naidu, Prerana Yadav, Ananya Naidu and Samiksha Narshinghkar were present.
More than 70 shooters from across the state including Pune, Washim, Akola, Yavatmal, Amravati and Nagpur are competing in the tourney. Twelve-year-old Viraj Bhambhwani is the star attraction of the tournament.
On the basis of performance in this tourney Maharashtra squad will be selected for the GV Malvankar Memorial All India Shooting Championship.
