Nitin Gadkari to launch country's first CNG tractor tomorrow!

New Delhi: Farmers will now get relief from rising petrol and diesel prices. After scooters, cars and buses, tractors equipped with CNG will now be seen plying on the roads and in the fields.
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari will launch the country's first CNG-fitted tractor at 5 pm tomorrow. Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways V.K. Singh and Minister of State Purushottam Rupala will be present on the occasion.
Farmers will benefit from CNG-powered tractors by Rawmate Techno Solutions and Tomaseto Achili India. It is hoped that the introduction of CNG tractors will help increase farmers' income. Since CNG is a clean fuel, it emits very little carbon and other pollutants. The life of a CNG engine converted by new technology will be longer than a traditional tractor. The mileage of a CNG tractor will be much higher than that of a diesel. Not only that, petrol and diesel prices fluctuate on a daily basis, but CNG prices fluctuate a lot.
CNG is much cheaper than petrol or diesel. Since the CNG tank is sealed tightly, the rate of explosion during refueling is low. Waste to Wealth is further strengthened by the option of making valuables from waste. Straw can be used to make bio CNG, which will not only increase the income of farmers but also help in reducing the pollution caused by burning straw.
