New Delhi - A new chapter has begun in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Nitin Naveen has been elected as the party's national president, and the official announcement was made at the party headquarters in Delhi in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, and outgoing president J.P. Nadda. Election officer K. Laxman explained the election process and, announcing that Naveen was the only candidate, presented him with the certificate.
Outgoing president J.P. Nadda said, "This is a historic day. A young and talented leader, Nitin Naveen, is taking over as the president of the world's largest political party. On behalf of the party's millions of workers, I congratulate him." Naveen is a grassroots party worker and has served as a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly five times at a young age. He has also held ministerial responsibilities in the Bihar government multiple times. He has worked across the country as the General Secretary of the National Youth Wing and has served as in-charge of states like Sikkim and Chhattisgarh. Nadda expressed confidence that his organizational and administrative experience will take the party to new heights.

Nitin Naveen submitted his nomination papers for the post of BJP National President on Monday. A total of 37 nomination sets were received, all of which were deemed valid. Of these, 36 sets came from various states, while one set was submitted by the Parliamentary Board, which included the Prime Minister and 37 MPs. After the deadline for withdrawing nominations, only Naveen's application remained.
