In this, a complaint was made about the irregularities due to distribution of wrong question papers at the exam centers of Bihar and Rajasthan and the demand was made to cancel the exam and conduct an SIT investigation.
The Supreme Court bench issued a notice to the National Testing Agency (NTA), the institution conducting the examination, saying - The credibility of NEET UG has been affected. We want an answer to this.
The next hearing will be on July 8
The vacation bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah heard the case. Now the next hearing of this case will be on July 8.
Let us tell you that students across the country have taken to the streets regarding this matter. At the same time, many petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court regarding the CBI investigation of this matter. Earlier the court was going to hear the case in July. However, in view of the seriousness of the matter, it was decided to hear it first.
Demand for re-examination
Let us tell you that in many petitions, there has been a demand to cancel the results of NEET and conduct the examination again. The Supreme Court told NTA in strong words that after the allegations of rigging on the results, questions have been raised on the sanctity of the examination and we need an answer on this. However, the Supreme Court refused to stay the counseling of NEET UG 2024.
The results of NEET UG exam were declared on June 4. There were 67 students who got 720 out of 720 marks. Out of these, 6 are from the same examination center. In such a situation, allegations of rigging in the examination started. Questions were also raised on NTA regarding irregularities in the examination and grace marks. Students and many organizations say that there is a big irregularity in the examination, so there is a need to conduct the examination again. In the petition filed in the Supreme Court, it was said that it is impossible to get 718 and 719 marks out of 720. At the same time, giving grace marks when the exam is delayed is also an attempt to give backdoor entry to some students. It was also said in the petition that there are flaws in the answer key published by the agency on April 29. At the same time, complaints of paper leak were also reported in the exam held on May 5.
