Regarding rent arrears of government land in Nagpur Investigation of 12 organizations started - Balasaheb Thorat

Mumbai, dt. 9: In Nagpur city, on lease of one rupee, the government took space for social work, which twelve organizations paid the rent of government land. An inquiry is underway through a committee constituted by the High Court, Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat told the Legislative Council.
 He was replying to a question posed by Member Praveen Datke during Question Hour on the issue of lease of government lands in Nagpur. The Collectorate has received information about twelve organizations which are paying rent for government land. Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat informed that appropriate action will be taken after checking the land use as per the terms and conditions of the lease.
            The revenue minister also said that an inquiry would be held into the alleged misappropriation of government land taken by the Gorakshak Mandal in Mumbai for cow grazing.
