Nagpur, 27- Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan b. He made a presentation on the Nagandi Revitalization Project before the Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) of the Central Government. The project was approved by the EFC. The project will now go to the cabinet for final approval.
 The Expenditure Finance Committee met in Delhi under the chairmanship of the Union Finance Secretary. The committee consists of Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources, Director, NRCD, Additional Secretary, EFC, Additional Secretary, Finance, Joint Secretary (Budget), and officials from the Ministry of Urban Development. Before this committee, Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B. He presented complete information about the Nag River Revitalization Project. The meeting was attended by Manoj Talewar, Superintendent of Public Health Engineering, Dr. Shweta Banerjee, Executive Engineer and Mohammad Israel, Technical Advisor.
The project will be implemented by Nagpur Municipal Corporation and the process of appointing a PMC is in full swing. The entire cost of PMC will be borne by the Central Government. Through this project, 500 km of sewerline network in the city will be renewed.
The total cost of the project is 2117.56 crores. Central Government, State Government and Nagpur Municipal Corporation have 60:25:15 share in the project respectively. The central government will spend 60 per cent or 1323.42 crore, the state government 25 per cent or 496.34 crore and the corporation 15 per cent or 297.80 crore. The project will be funded by the Central Government of Japan (JICA) (Japan International Cooperation Agency) for Rs 1864.3 crore.
The project will be implemented by Nagpur Municipal Corporation. For this, to block or divert the sewage coming into the river. To process. Construction of Sewage Treatment Plant. Works like toilets will be done under the project. This is an important project for the people of Nagpur and adds to the beauty of the city.
