Tribal children need quality education -Dr. Madhavi Khode

Nagpur, dt. 13: While providing basic facilities to the citizens living in remote tribal areas, the children of these areas need quality education. Tribal children will not be left behind from the mainstream. Made by Madhavi Khode.
She was speaking at the inaugural function of the workshop on Coordinating Schemes for the Comprehensive Development of Tribals. Additional Tribal Commissioner Ravindra Thackeray was in the chair.
A one-day departmental workshop on "Development Tribal: Coordination Schemes" was organized at Vasantrao Agricultural Extension Management Training Institute (Vanamati). Deputy Commissioner Dashrath Kulmethe was present on the occasion.
Expressing his expectation to work for the socio-economic upliftment of the tribals, Dr. Madhavi Khode said that six-year-old students need to take care of their health when they are admitted to the ashram school. He expressed the need to focus on health as well as their overall educational development.
Propose increased funding for the health of tribal children. Tribal farmers should be informed about various schemes of the government and efforts should be made to increase their income. He expressed the need for children to take initiative to get a better environment.
He suggested that for the overall development of the tribals, a plan should be implemented from the district development fund to pay attention to their education, agriculture, animal husbandry and other issues.
Implement the plan with a developmental approach by embracing the good. Review school-wise purchases on educational matters. Spend as much money as possible on children's education. Additional Tribal Commissioner Ravindra Thackeray suggested to search for past success stories and take inspiration from them for the overall development of the tribals.
Developmental plans were informed through a presentation in the workshop. Guidance was given to implement new schemes which could be beneficial and successful for the social, economic upliftment and income generation of the tribals. Apart from this, guidance was given on agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries development, recognition of forest rights law, child rights, secondary forest production process, economic development of tribals and related schemes, aspirations and livelihood campaigns.
Initially, the workshop was inaugurated by lighting a lamp in front of the statue of Birsa Munda and Bakhtabuland Shah. The program was conducted by Nayan Kamble. The workshop was attended by project officers of the department as well as officers and staff of various departments.
