Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has claimed that President's rule was implemented in Maharashtra because of this. Fadnavis claimed that this letter was typed in his own office. He disclosed this in an interview given to a Marathi daily.
” At that time BJP did not have enough seats to form the government. We could not form a government. The Governor invited Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena to form the government. They also did not have a majority. Meanwhile two leaders of NCP met me. He said that NCP wants to form government with BJP. A meeting was held immediately after that. I, Amit Shah, Sharad Pawar, Ajit Pawar and Praful Patel were present in that meeting. In that meeting we had decided to form the government." Devendra Fadnavis made such a secret blast.
