Women journalists felicitated on the occasion of International Women's Day

Nagpur: On behalf of Tilak Patrakar Bhavan Trust and in association with Nagpur Shramik Patrakar Sangh and Nagpur Press Club, women journalists were felicitated on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8 at the Conference Hall of Press Club, Civil Lines. Senior Editor S.N. Vinod presided over the program while Municipal Corporation Standing Committee Chairperson Shivani Dani Vakhre was present as the chief guest.
Women journalists who have worked in the field of journalism for a long time were felicitated on this occasion. Bhagyashree Sharma (Lokmat Samachar), Ashwini Mharolkar-Pachkhede (Sakal), Bhagyashree Raut (BBC) and Devashree Bhimte-Meshram (UCN) were awarded. Every year, a senior woman in the social field is given the Stree Gaurav Award. This year, this award was given to senior social activist Mrs. Chhaya Khobragade. Also, Ankita Deshkar (The Indian Express) was honored with the Smt. Shobha Vinod Memorial Award. In the category of Journalist's Wife, Pallavi Kewal Jeevantare was honored for her remarkable social contribution. Shirish Borkar, General Secretary of Tilak Patrakar Bhavan Trust, Brahmashankar Tripathi, President of Nagpur Shramik Patrakar Sangh, Dharmendra Jore, Joseph Rao, Vivek Purabhat, Shekhar Soni, Ranjit Deshmukh, Manohar Kothekar and Varsha Basu were present on the occasion.
