Nagpur,Dt. 8: The expansion of the ambitious Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport project, which is driving industrial development along with employment generation in the entire Vidarbha and Central India, has been given a boost. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, a special action group has been formed and a deadline has been fixed for the pending work. In any circumstances, the District Magistrate and President of Mihan India Limited, Dr. Vipin Itankar, gave instructions to give priority to all concerned agencies to complete the fruitful work at the administrative level.
Under his chairmanship, a comprehensive meeting was held today in the office auditorium of Mihan India regarding airport expansion. Or Anilkumar Gupta, planning member and director of Baithakis Mihan India Limited, S.G.K., executive director of GMR Group. Kishore, Indian Air Force Station Commander Shiv Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police Lohit Matani, Senior Airport Operator Abid Ruhi, MADC Prakash Patil, Chief Engineer S.K. Chatterjee, Airport Authority of India coordination chief Lally Mary Francis, senior Municipal Corporation official Pramod Gawande, Maharashtra Electricity Distribution Company superintendent engineer Amit Paranjpe and senior officials were present.
The complete proposal for transfer of the areas under the Airport Authority of India to Mihan India Limited Company, as approved by the Union Cabinet with a view to quickly getting it, is being sent to all concerned agencies. This or that meeting was reviewed. The decision to completely stop private traffic from the areas notified under the Airport Expansion Project will be taken in the meeting. The current bus service started by the Metropolitan Municipality will not come or go to the acquired city. Metropolitan Palikela gave clear orders in this regard. The time limit was given in the meeting to provide the required facilities to the Indian Air Force and to immediately start the work on the Poach route.

Superintendent Engineer Amit Paranjpe said that the work of the expanded airport project is becoming a hindrance in the work by shifting the one kilometer long high pressure electric pipeline and speeding up the work to meet the time limit. Instructions were given in the meeting to remove encroachments by any person in Shivangaon. Synonymous Gavthanat Ritsar Jaga Bahal Karunhi People who have not been shifted will be shifted immediately.
