Bangalore Wife Murder case: Accused Rakesh Khedkar, who murdered his wife in Bangalore and fled after leaving her body in a suitcase, has been arrested from Pune. It was found that the accused husband had consumed poison to commit suicide. Rakesh Khedekar is currently undergoing treatment at Sassoon Hospital in Pune.
Rakesh Khedekar, who had left Bangalore, was found by the police at Shirwal, on the border of Pune and Satara. When the police brought him for a medical examination, it was found that he had consumed poison. Doctors at Sassoon Hospital said that the accused's condition was stable.
While in Bangalore, the accused had called home and told his father about the incident. He had also told his father Rajendra Khedekar that he was also committing suicide. However, after convincing his father, he was called to Mumbai.
Rakesh Khedekar said, "After the incident, my son called me. My wife (Gauri) fights with me every day, so I did this in anger. He had also called his wife's mother about this two-four days ago. He had said that my wife was a lot of trouble. After that, her mother had also explained it to her. Her mother is my close sister. Even when we were in Jogeshwari, she had given us a lot of trouble."
"Rakesh had called me at night. He left at night and had taken a bottle of poison with him. He said that I was also going to commit suicide. He also said to tell his wife's family about this. I asked him to come here from Bangalore and go to Jogeshwari police station and inform them about it," said Rajendra Khedekar.
Khedekar further said, "The son's wife used to fight every day. She had also beaten his brother. We knew about her before the marriage. We were against this marriage. We opposed this marriage for four years. But both of them insisted and got married."
