After 130 days, the death toll is zero
Nagpur, Dec 18: During the three months of March, April and May, many civilians died due to corona. But with patience, restraint and an organized manner, the Nagpurkars brought the Corona under control. As of June 17, not a single person in Nagpur had died due to corona. What is special is that after 130 days, the people of Nagpur have got this relief.
Earlier, on February 7, 2021, the death toll in the city was zero. On that day, 223 positive patients were registered in the city. 315 patients were cured and a total of 2438 patients were active. After 130 days, on Thursday, June 17, 6760 tests were conducted in the city. Out of which 34 patients were reported positive. 94 patients recovered. As a result, the number of active patients in the city at present is 955.
Restrictions announced by the state government, subsequent restraint by the citizens of Nagpur, hard work by doctors, nurses, health workers in the medical field, efforts by district administration, municipal office bearers, administration to provide oxygen, increase the number of beds, rush, Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari and Commissioner Radhakrishnan B. The work done by the Municipal Corporation team under his leadership made it possible to gain control over Corona.
