Bhimanwar is merely a pawn! Aaditya Thackeray alleges the involvement of true masterminds; warns of a march to Mumbai if resignation isn't submitted within 48 hours.
Pune: The students' demand that MPSC Chairman Vivek Bhimanwar resign immediately is justified. However, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader Aaditya Thackeray alleged that Bhimanwar is merely a pawn, while the real masterminds behind the situation are different. He visited the protest site in Pune, interacted directly with the aspirants, and expressed his support.
Aaditya Thackeray said, "Today, hundreds of talukas in the state are facing drought. While farmers are in distress, their children are coming to Pune to study in hopes of employment. Yet, the government is destroying the future of the youth. Industries are shutting down or being shifted to Gujarat. According to a World Bank report, while crores of young people need jobs, the government has failed to provide them. This government’s only work has been leaking exam papers, splitting political parties, and poaching students. Whenever students raise legitimate questions, they are branded as 'Urban Naxals'."
He urged the protesting students to remain united. "Do not let this united strength break. Set a deadline of the next 24 to 48 hours. If Bhimanwar’s resignation is not secured, everyone should come directly to Mumbai and stage a sit-in protest outside the MPSC headquarters. We will take responsibility for the entire agitation in Mumbai," Aaditya Thackeray stated clearly.
MLAs Rohit Pawar and Vishwajeet Kadam, MP Dr. Amol Kolhe, and student representatives were present on the dais. Meanwhile, protest coordinators alleged that while the students were protesting peacefully, petitions were filed in court through BJP workers, citing public inconvenience as the reason. A resolve was expressed to continue the struggle until Bhimanwar resigns and concrete reforms are implemented in the MPSC.
