Bloodshed on Harmada Highway – Drunk driver’s dumper smashes 17 vehicles into pieces, 14 people die
Jaipur, November 3, 2025 – Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur was drenched in blood at 12:30 pm today. An empty dumper failed to brake near Loha Mandi on the busy Sikar Road in Harmada area and ran for 300 meters. This rush-to-death accident hit 17 to 40 vehicles, crushed two-wheelers and four-wheelers, while more than 50 people were caught in the cycle. According to preliminary information, 11 to 14 people died on the spot, while 30 to 50 were seriously injured. The death toll is feared to rise further.
How did the accident happen? Eyewitnesses’ shocking testimony
During the afternoon rush hour, normal traffic was moving on Sikar Road. An empty dumper (serial number not yet known) heading towards Loha Mandi petrol pump suddenly came at a high speed. The investigation will reveal whether the driver did not brake or was drunk; but the dumper first hit a car, then threw the two-wheelers, causing a chain reaction. Vehicles piled up on each other for 300 meters, some were crushed, some were crushed.
"The speed of the dumper was so high that there was no sound of braking. The two-wheeler in front of me was crushed, the man was thrown onto the road. Blood started flowing," said an eyewitness. Another witness said, "When the dumper stopped, three cars were crushed under it. People were screaming, some lost their legs, some their arms."

Killed: 11 to 14 (full list not yet released). This includes women, children and two-wheelers.
Injured: 30 to 50. Six people are in critical condition, admitted to the trauma center of SMS Hospital.
A family said, "My elder brother was returning from the market. He was crushed by a dumper, we cannot identify him."
Driver drunk? Police action
Police detained the dumper driver. Preliminary investigation suggests that he was drunk. A technical inspection of the vehicle is underway. District Collector Jitendra Soni said, "12 people killed, many injured. Relief work is underway on a war footing."
